Jon's first glimpse into the foundry world was at just 5 years old with his father.
Jon's father, Ron Barnett, was synonymous in the foundry world in the 60's and Jon was destined for a life in the thriving UK foundry industry.
At sixteen, Jon started his five year apprenticeship in a Class 1 foundry, supplying castings to the MOD and British Aerospace.
Now with fifty years worth of experience behind him, Jon is passing his knowledge on to a third generation, his daughter Lucy and has done for the last ten years.
Jon is a non-ferrous specialist, especially in the casting of bronze, aluminium bronze and gunmetal.
